Why do you have so little faith? So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life-whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. I stand in faith for Your Word to come to pass that all my needs are met according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. As the Scriptures say, ‘They share freely and give generously to the poor. However, if instead, you proclaim God’s goodness, thank Him for His provision and expect Him to be faithful to His Word, you will receive the provision from Him that you expect.īut I have no idea what to say about my finances, you might think. If you constantly focus on your lack of money, complain about your financial outlook, and doubt that God will be faithful to His Word, then you will receive exactly what you expect. And part of approaching your finances in faith involves the way you think and speak about them. God cares about your finances! Sound surprising? Did you know that there are more than 2,000 verses in the Bible that deal with financial issues like money, greed, stewardship, debt, hard work, contentment, provision, investments and more? Just as with anything else, you should approach your finances in faith, believing that your heavenly Father will be true to His Word. ![]()
